A wood artist based in Osaka Prefecture. Each piece is created through a hands-on process—carefully selecting the wood, shaping it, carving by hand, and finishing it with urushi (Japanese lacquer).
The works retain the organic warmth unique to hand-carving, while also exhibiting a refined, sculptural beauty through meticulously balanced forms.
The black urushi finish is predominantly matte, yet still carries a subtle, dark luster unique to lacquer. The white urushi is characterized by a distinct, slightly bluish tone, offering a soft yet striking contrast.
Both finishes allow the natural grain of the wood to show through, revealing a deep understanding of the material and a mastery of technique.
